IT Specialist Job Description:

  • Strong in application development and application support.
  • Server-side core Java J2EE Coding (Intermediate expertise).
  • Unix Shell/Python Scripting.
  • Configuration management- MKS, Bitbucket, etc.
  • AutoSys or similar scheduling tool.
  • Strong RDBMS knowledge (DB2 preferred).
  • ITIL foundation.
  • Working knowledge in TSM, AIX or LINUX, DB2 or other RDBMS.
  • Load Balancer, WebSphere/IHS, DR (Disaster Recovery) and HA (High Availability).
  • Data encryption, file transfer solutions, data replication.
  • Availability & capacity management of platform.
  • Networking & firewall.
  • Strong to expert in documentation process in the all the PDLC & SDLC artifacts.
  • Willing to learn new technologies in the area of Content Management Domain e.g. IBM Content Manager OnDemand, EMC Source One, Actuate Xenos.
  • Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills – Creating, updating, modifying existing code.
  • Develop and conduct test case scenarios for performance or load testing cases.
  • Should be able to mentor new or Junior Developers and motivate the team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability to develop deep understanding of the application and platform to take technical decisions.
  • Working experience with architecture, risk management & other stakeholders as an application owner.
  • Strong on application & infrastructure metrics- experience in executive status reports.
