IT operations role Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical IT resource with at least min 4 - 5 years’ experience preferably in an IT operations role.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies and ISO 27001 is an advantage. 
  • The role requires a candidate who is energetic, can balance multiple streams of work activities, is calm under pressure and diplomatic. 
  • The candidate should also possess strong technical skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Technical skills:
  • Hands on Microsoft Windows 10 troubleshooting.
  • Hands on Microsoft O365 & (Office suite & Teams.)
  • Hands on Apple Mac hardware and OS.
  • Understanding of basic networking and security products, specifically Cisco Hardware. (Switches, Routers Meraki).
  • Experience of computer Software Imaging and Autopilot.
  • Understanding of endpoint security. McAfee, Crowd Strike, Z Scaler, SCCM, DLP.
  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies, applications would be advantageous – Microsoft Server, Networking, Cisco Meraki, VPN’s, Intune, JAMF, G Suite.
  • Service Desk ticketing tools e.g. - Service Now.
  • Telephony (Cisco, Avaya).
  • Audio/Visual conferencing setup.
  • Experience maintaining ISO 27001 standards and security audit experience.
  • ITIL knowledge and execution of processes – e.g.  Incident management, Problem management, Change management and Asset management.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Dutch will be a value add.
  • Vendor management and procurement experience.
  • Capability of working independently and remotely applying agile methodology.
  • Ability to plan and deliver activities in line with BITS organization goals.
